Family Update

Family fun at the baseball game. This was back when Abe was switching jobs and had two weeks off. We tried to take advantage of every moment together.

   Kaden having fun at soccer practice. This was back in April I think and he had a blast. Kadens friends dad coached the team and he thought that was the neatest thing in the world.

I went to my cousins wedding in June and had a blast. Abe stayed home with the kids, so I was able to have a weekend to myself. I think this needs to become a yearly thning.

This is what takes me 2 1/2 hours of hard work looks like on a Sunday morning trying to get the family ready for 3 hours of church.

This was Kaden's first day of Kindergarton. He loves school and is always so happy when he gets home. He is always full of energy afterwards which I wish he was ready for a nap. He does not like to sit down and do his homework, hope it will get better has the year progresses.

Kaden wanted to take a picture with dad before we left. This is how Ally's hair is every morning when she wakes up. To me it looks like she just got electricutid.

Two weeks ago Tai started to walk and now is into everything. He thinks he is a big boy now and will climb and make huge messes. I can't believe that he turned one in July and Kaden turned 5. Time for us has flown by and I don't know where it has gone.

Every Day Life In The Bawden Household

 I love this pic of Ally and Kaden in the tub together. This is how they spent most of their time at home during the summer trying to stay cool.

 Ally is always putting water into cups and giving it to people or drinking it herself. Most of it will end up on the floor. If she can't find a cup she will go and find anything that will hold water.

 Ally is at the stage where she has to feed herself but has not mastered the use of a fork or spoon so she will use her hands. By the time dinner is over she is due for a good scrubbing and the kitchen sink is the closest place to do it when I am in a hurry.

 Kaden loves Taimon so much, he is always asking if he can hold him. One day I set Tai down to go do something and when I came back this is how I found them. It was so cute, but I don't want to know how Kaden got him in his arms.

 To me it is amazing how much Tai has changed in the last six weeks. When he was first born I was afraid I was going to pull something off him or break him because he was so small. But if you look at the next pic you can see how big he is now.

 This is my chunky monkey. The reason I call him that is because at first he looked like a little monkey baby when they hold onto their mother, and now he has some big cheeks. He now weighs over 7 pounds which i big from where he started.

 This is Ally every time I take the camera out. She loves to have her picture taken and will do anything to get your attention.

 This is Kadens favorite thing to do when Dad gets home from work. He is addicted to the phone like everyone else.

 Ally loves to wear hats, but they have to be backwards which always makes me laugh. She is such a girly girl, but at the same time she can act like a little boy.

I had to show world the these amazing pictures that my sister-in-law took of Tai the day after he got home from the hospital at 11 days old. I wanted to have some good pictures of how small he really was. I don't want to forget how adorable he is and how blessed we were that he was so healthy and all the miracles that our family had in the space of 48 hours. Even though I don't remember anything about his birth I have heard the story and it truly was a miracle from God.

Taimon Dean Bawden

We are happy to announce that we recieved a new baby boy to our family. Taimon Dean Bawden decided to come into the world 6 1/2 weeks early on July 17, 2011. He weighed 4lbs 11oz and was 18 1/2 inches long.

Everything started on Saturday the 16th of July, I was outside watering are chickens when my water broke. So I had to wake up the kids and drive to Abe's parents house because Abe spent the night over there because he had to stay late cleaning after his sisters wedding the night before. So once we got there we went to the hospital where we made the decision to stop my labor, give me steroids to give Tai's lungs a little longer to develope. Everything was going good and we made it to Sunday the 17th when I had some complications that required me to have emergancy surgery to put a filter in one of my veins so I would not have a another blood clot go to my lungs. Once that was done they took me down to the Ob operating room for a C-section. Then they took me to ICU for over 24 hours for observation. Once I was able to go back to the OB floor a day later I was finaly able to see Tai for the first time.

When I was in the OR having my C-section there was a team of Doctors and nurses wait for Tai to make sure that he would be ok because he was so early. My little boy came out crying, he had to be on oxygen for the first 5 hours, He was able to to keep his body temp. up on his own from day 2. He had a hard time trying to figure out how to eat on his own, because of that they had to put a feeding tube in him for a couple days but as soon as he it out they took it out. On Thursday night he had an episode where he stopped breathing for over 20 seconds which caused his heart rate and O2 stats to fall. Because of this he had to stay in the NICU for another five days to make sure that it would not happen again. After 9 days on Tuesday the 26 at 8:45 Am we were able to take him home. He is such a good little boy, I have to wake him up to make him eat.

The kids love him so much but it scares me to have them touch him because he is so small. Life has been crazy but i am loving every minute of it.

Welcomed Christmas Eve Gift

I am so sorry it has been such a long time since i have updated my blog. A lot has happened in the last couple of months. First Ally took her first steps on Nov. 10 and we celebrated her first birthday Dec 10. Abe and I got a very unexpected gift on Christmas eve, we found out that I am pregnant. I wasn't feeling very well for a couple of days and when I feel like that I am usually pregnant. I didn't want to tell Abe what I was thinking so Christmas Eve I went down to the store and bought a pregnancy test while Abe was at work. To my surprise it came out positive. My thoughts were " On top of being a mom and going to school I have to be sick the whole time". Sure enough morning sickness came at five weeks while we were on our yearly vacation to Utah. But it was not as bad as my first two pregnancies, thank goodness for Zofran. Today we had the privilege of founding out that we are going to have a BOY. I am so excited I can't wait to see him. Kaden is always asking me when is the baby coming out of my tummy. I love that he knows what is going on and of course Ally doesn't know. We sure were not expecting this but it is a blessing to our lives. It was the first time that we had the privilege of being surprised. We will have the baby in the middle of August, I am not looking forward to being pregnant all through the summer but glad it is not a winter baby again.
While we were in the ultrasound he was trying so hard to suck his thumb but instead he stuck it up his little nose. It was so cute.

Halloween

Because Halloween was on Sunday this year we did not get to go trick or treating, but we were able to go to our ward trunk or treat party. Kaden had so much fun but did not understand why people were giving him candy and he didn't have to do anything to earn it. Kaden went as Spiderman and Ally went as a pink lady bug.
